Lord may your name be glorified In the land of Tennyson, Banyan Dickens and Swift Not all is well and with people’s rights Things are going adrift Authority to Christians not given enough Weak to help defend, People on others who depend. Lord we know our voice you will hear As your children draw near - Stay, stay they pray. “Never again”, generations before said; “Never, never to forget” And yet on ear things fall deaf. Never, never again for our neighbour Such grief and some hopes Turning into vapour… “Hear, hear our voice From the rooftop As heavens rejoice” We will not let our neighbour Have their hopes turned Into vapour… Beseeching whilst something Their rights is breaching; Their rights our rights. New dawn on the horizon Yesterday’s battles won Now some want us to forget And let, the dust on them set… In our heart your Son lives For the one who believes Knows time* is like many thieves. *time of persecution
