Comment:	The disciplinary action in context is Biblical: "....My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not loose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord discipline those he loves, and he punish every one he accept as a son"(Heb 13:5-6). God disciplines, rebukes, and punishes. God's love for his children does not immune them from his discipline. Christians are societal role model and as such should not condone sin but encourage speedy restoration. Our lives' is the Bible that an unbeliever may ever live to read.
