Would it not be more prudent to discern our leaders by scripture rather than the ever moving sands of time and culture? Scripture is quite clear that leadership should be male. However that does not give license for men to be idiots and ignore talking to women, as mentioned in the above article, especially about theological issues. In fact Paul strictly states that women should learn theology, which was utterly revolutionary. However, he also went on to state that a woman should not have authority over a man. Just becuase it's the 21st century, we can't ignore the parts of the bible that make us uncomfortable or we don't agree with.
