Comment:	An interesting article, Paul. I admire you for wading into the mire of Church v Science and totally agree with your closing remarks that our primary purpose is to proclaim Jesus and bring Glory to God through our lives. My view is that God created the Earth together with all the scientific discoveries, which are being slowly known. Nothing the scientists come up with will be a surprise for God, or for us too. It's how those discoveries are used or abused that should stimulate debate, which Christians should continue to be fully involved in. As a young earth science student, I struggled with the fundamentalist opinions of some Christians in my church who found my choice of study incongruous with their narrow views on science. Without getting into debate, I kept my eyes on Jesus and found that my faith in God as Creator grew stronger, the more I learnt about the Earth's complex structures and processes - and I'm still learning 30 years on!
