Great article Paul. My main observation on all of this is that the wrong people are being blamed and punished. Like other posters, I have no time for the type of infantile, vulgar and distasteful humour churned out by the likes of Brand & Ross and others. However, they were only doing what the BBC employed them to do. Clearly the BBC (and they aren't the only ones) think that it's okay to broadcast this garbage. The real fault lies with the executive who listened to the recording and approved it's transmission DESPITE Andrew Sachs stating he didn't want it aired. The identity of this individual, as far as I'm aware, has never been made known and they appear to be the only person involved in this sorry affair who has not been held accountable for their actions!
