Comment:	There is no one quite as honest and open in his songwriting as the late Mark Heard. Mark was to me an always accessible and honest source of encouragement, with songs that cut deep and describe the meat of God and not just the milk. Mark's lyrical brilliance is hardly ever matched, the raw potency of songs like Look Over Your Shoulder, orphans Of God and Treasure of The Broken land are true joys to behold in a cold Christian music scene. It is so sad that Mark is no longer with us. his legacy is the truth is like a knife, but it is a knife i will always love and cherish when i hear it in his sweet songs. No one else today moves me as much as this guy, and he's been dead for 16 years now, that must say something! Mark would rate as my top artist of all time now as i get older. High Noon is a perfect collection of his finest songs. Hammers And Nails is the most powerful song ive ever heard. Love IS so blind is another hard hitting poetic and honect description of the real meaning of love. Nod Over Coffee has the human condition down 100 percent perfect. This man was and still is beyond awesome. Thankyou Mark for your music. It is beyond doubt a wonder of God.
