Comment: Hip Hop as its called produces more lust in its lyrics than rock music. the classical rock bands and personalities like Marylin Manson are outrightly satanic. but satanism is a harder temptation than making quick dirty bucks. Preachers however, have almost ignored the dangers that hiphop is pausing to especially the youth of almost all societies and are still calling all rock satanic. yes. some rock is bad. but just like Morgan stated above, its not the right thing to generalise a whole music genre as bad but rather advising people to be careful not to fall to the tricks the devil uses in music. if that wasnt the case, people would be advised to rather listen to Three6 mafia, Jay z, Jarule (hiphopers) instead of Reliant K, Newsboys, Skillet(christian rockers) etc because they are singing rock! in Africa and specifically Uganda, if it werent for hiphop, the young girls would still be dressing descently, the young men wouldnt be doing drugs to the level they are... everywhere in the world, many people are becoming more materialistic because hiphop preaches money, cars and sex! in my opinion, the best way forward is to preach the word of God and the people who recieve the Holy Spirit wil be able to discern for themselves the good music. or blacklisting the artists christians should be wary of. not from just rock, but jazz, hiphop, rnb, country, and so forth!
