Comment: There's a difference between "judging" and "discerning" (Hebrews 5:12-14). "God created everything, but Satan stole some away". That's another way of saying, "God created everything, but mankind perverted and screwed it all up." You are right in saying that the the intentions of the heart are what matters. However, where do you draw the line? How deep can one dig into the world to find different ways of approaching God before he finally tries something that, regardless of the hearts intent, is wrong? It doesn't take a professional to see that rock music IS worldly. If you can't see that than you're just in denial. What exactly was Paul referring to in 1 John 2:15-17(READ IT) when he says that "ALL that is in the world... ...is not from the father but from the world."? Take some time to think about how much you enjoy listening to that kind-of music. Does it not scare you that Paul talks about the PLEASURES and DESIRES of the world and you just so happen to be PLEASURABLY listening to DESIRABLE music that just so happens to be identical in sound to what the world has produced? Oh, the lyrics. If it was all about the holy and biblical lyrics than you wouldn't need such amazingly "catchy" to say the least, tunes to go with them.
