Comment:
After the storm's song Epitaph is not worthy of the negative comments by Phil Thompson. As it was a song penned from the heart by Dennis i think it's hardly worth saying that the performers were out of their depth conceptually. It is a song both written from the heart and sung as such! When was the last time Eurovision entrants sang about abortion... hmmm?!? I find it hard to beleive that two people who wrote the songs on the album from their hearts, using their own thoughts and feelings on the subject written about can be described as being out of their depth conceptually, especially one being the pastor of a church! I think if dear Phil contemplates all of the many songs that are for worship - many of which sung from the head and not the heart and without sincere conviction but with a hand in the air towards what they think but not feel is god then perhaps he might be in more in tune to hear the angst and conviction in theirs lyrics, melody and voices! AS for saying that they have written biblical re-workings and social comment i think within this day and age we should all feel free to speak out about this and make our opinion know to the man, after all i am not a number, dale and dennis are not a number how about you?!?! Dennis and dale may well have been a 'husband and wife team' but this is irrespective to the fact that they have written an album of sincere, heart felt, convicted song - you might has well have said well i feel that there's a proliferation of singing quartets - i think they may be called babershop quartets... yet G4 stand alone - what a load of twaddle. Make sure you understand big words before you a diss a truly amazing album about subjects that too many of us are scared to talk about. Maybe this fear made Phil act as above. Stop listening to worship - feel that in your heart - listen to the truth!
