if you listen to any skillet albums you would know how they differ from album to album their self titled debut was mainly guitar based, hey you i love your soul they experimented more with sampling and keyboards, invincible they decided to push the further towards an eletronic rock/industrial sound, alien youth they included more guitars and more anthemic songs as well as more somber worship and reflective type of stuff, collide was going more guitar based and going heavier and embracing more nu metal sort of stuff, commatose has taken alien youth and collide and taken the strongest elements and fused them together so you get the more radio friendly stuff but you also get a return to the use of samples and programmed and processed effects especially with the processed strings which they used on collide and whats wrong with getting in the top 40 skillet have been working hard for the past 11 years so any credit they get they deserve
