Comment:	Dan has a fair point. I would urge all sides in this debate to be respectful of the seriousness of views held by their opponents. Bishop Michael Doe's short book "Seeking the truth in Love" summarises much of the extensive research & thought by Christians of widely differing tradition. Christian scholars can come to contradictory conclusions on the same subject (which is to be welcomed). The failure of immense Christian efforts to convert gays to straights should cause us to pause and pray. I found the website courage.org.uk particularly helpful in thinking about this.
