Comment:	Certainly "Protestant Christian Union" would be an improvement over "Christian Union" as it would make it clear that Catholic and Orthodox Christians are not welcome. However, many of the name-change campaigners at Exeter are protestants who have been made to feel very unwelcome within the society because they do not hold evangelical views. The name "Evangelical Christian Union" most clearly explains who the society represents.
