Having heard Fat And Frantic sing acapella worship songs at Steve Fairnie's funeral, Kingsway boss John Pac was able to persuade the Greenbelt favourites to come out of retirement to record this one-off project. A long, long way from "Last Night My Wife Hoovered My Head", instead you've got a selection of 14 songs mostly from the Kendricks/Richards/Bilbrough axis with one or two FAF originals while the title track isn't the Thomas Dorsey classic but a Fish Co number from 1975. The arrangements are effective though only on a few of the songs do the band get even close to an authentic doowop sound promised by the sleeve. The numerous guests weighing in with harmonies and leads are effective (particularly Helen Jannaway) and though a little wearing to hear at one sitting will no doubt find sales with acapella enthusiasts looking for a change from Glad and Take 6 and Fat And Frantic legion of fans still willing the zaney bunch to reform permanently.
