A live album recorded by Californian reggae outfit Youth Exodus who have a strong vibe going here with some soulful reggae tunes and some classic sounds. The band play clubs and churches taking their ministry call seriously. Mixing roots, ska and dancehall together, it comes off very well on this live recording where the band's warmth communicates powerfully. For me, there are a pile of highlights but I really liked "Sadder Day", reflecting that for non-believers, every day is a sadder day than it would be if they knew Jesus! There's also an excellent version of "Rivers Of Babylon", the old Boney M classic which is ripe for another outing. (Someone should do a cool soulful or maybe an out and out dance version!) If you're longing for some fresh Christian reggae, this will satisfy!
