The eagerly awaited and much delayed gospel debut from the rapper who hit the bigtime with Dru Hill. This is a pretty unusual soulish mix of R&B, gospel, pop and rap. Woody kicks it off with a driving R&B groove in "Testimony", followed by a varied line up throughout the CD, including the likes of Mary Mary and Ruff Endz to mention but a few. As a compilation this album gels well and scores high in the feel good factor department, despite one or two cringers. Check out the soulful gospel track "The Question Is" by Men Of Standard, a revival of the old Winans classic.
