Take a large screen, a quality sound system and sit back. If you know anything of 'soaking evenings' - where you can spend two hours or so lying flat out, relaxed, with your eyes closed and your heart and mind in quiet worship to the accompaniment of contemplative music - then you'll get a sense of where this DVD might fit in - only, keep your eyes wide open and drink in the extravagant beauty of God's wonderful creation. It isn't surprising that the Celtic Seasons of Worship albums have morphed into DVD; Christian ambient outings of this quality deserve another crack at the market. So, what do we get? Lavishly captured footage of Scotland to melt the heart, with moody glens, mysterious lochs and castles, tumbling mountain streams, wide sweeping seascapes and soaring eagles vying with mists and rocky outcrops - all to such emotive standards as "I Heard The Voice Of Jesus Say", "I Cannot Tell", "Oh The Deep Deep Love Of Jesus", "Here Is Love". No performer credits are given for the music, so you'd have to refer to the CDs themselves, but the camera men, Paul Cadogan and Aaron Whitchard, must have had a ball getting hold of these shots, and that is truly the best bit. It is a perfect marriage, with much to ponder in the 46 minutes as the vocals and instrumentals roll out before us (with options on lyrics, locations, titles) though it needs scale in order to be most effective; small screen TV does nothing for moving wallpaper. Unlike audio, we can't be doing anything else while it is on the deck, so it will definitely slow us down - which is no bad thing. However, I haven't changed my mind: the songwriter's art could easily have been matched to any other eye-candy, so this is, ultimately, escapist indulgence for those of a certain age. Handy for the tourist trade, though.

Wonderful to just relax and watch and listen to. Just lifts the spirit in worship to the Lord Jesus. I love it.
