Aimed at ages four to eight, there's 20 tracks (plus the equivalent in split-tracks) on this disc. The first of these sees the first chapter of Genesis read out animatedly by a child (with a male adult reading God's part), and with added sound effects. The remaining tunes all take up the theme of creation. One or two, perhaps not unnaturally, are a bit samey in format (e.g. one song is called "The Reason You Made Me", another '"God Made Me"). But there is variety in the sense that there's a mixture of new compositions, a couple of popular Christian evergreens ("Isn't He Wonderful", "He's Got The Whole World In His Hands") and, even several well-known hymns. One could ask here whether old hymns like "For The Beauty Of The Earth" and "All Creatures Of Our God And King" are really accessible to a 5 year old? Also, some of the newer material feature pleasant enough tunes but still aren't truly memorable. And while we're about it we should note that the lyrics are not printed on the sleeve.
