Strange brew this 2-track cassette. I'd just heard some of Whitegold on the excellent 'Hamster Tracks' compilation, then I heard this. "Queen Of Jazz" is side one and is more in line with the "Chains Of Love" track on the above-mentioned compilation. It zips along quite neatly in a cross between Siouzie and Strawberry Switchblade mode. On the other side is "Clockwork Toy", which doesn't really work at all. Could do with a few more tracks to get a better picture of the band's overall sound, however if we were just left with "Queen Of Jazz" it may well be hummed a little after a concert. Need to hear more to be convinced.
