Andrew Dick is the parish minister of Tullibody Church Of Scotland and has been writing Celtic style worship songs for his Christmas services for several years now. With the help of some of his talented congregation, Andrew finally committed nine of his songs to tape and in spite of budget limitations has produced a fine little album which could easily be called "A Celtic Christmas". Sam Smith (as in Samantha) has the perfect female folk voice and a rich musical backing with guitars, fiddles and a neat little rhythm section deliver a wonderful resource for an alternative Yuletide celebration and I know that Andrew would be delighted to know that his material is being used by others around the country. The album isn't available in the shops so you will need to make an effort and send for one...but if you are looking for something with the Celtic feel, and a simple beauty, then Whistlekirk are worth the effort.

I have just seen this! I was playing keyboard and harmonica in Whistlekirk. Great memories

I only tried to find this as a laugh, but here it is. I played bass on the recording which was arranged by our Rev. Andrew Dick & Sammy Horner. I enjoyed the band so much, but we have mostly moved on to pastures new. Wadeck still plays at St Serfs, I'm at Menstrie, Andrew is in Mussleburgh, Sam at Alloa North(I think). Hope people enjoyed it. Let me know.
