I am probably the only reviewer in the Cross Rhythms team qualified to tell you that Watashi Wa is Japanese for 'I Am'. A special name - perfect for this new band. In their album, Watashi Wa address many of the key issues facing most teenagers today, with upbeat, rocky tunes that will keep you happy and brighten up even the gloomiest days! This band has the gift to bring up themes, sometimes even controversial ones, that are important to those facing difficult times; and at the same time, they're also able to bring hope and encouragement to listeners through their catchy tunes and uplifting lyrics. For example, in "Andy", the struggles of faith are brought up without sounding preachy in any way. And in "Wrong Kind", the guys share their views on true love.
