Sincere and committed live worship is what this Chicago-based team is all about. On the first two tracks the band sets out its stall - "1000 Tongues" creates the atmosphere for the live performance and "I See The Lord" declares, "This is where worship starts". Confidence is the tone and trust is the key theme in "This We Know" - "We hold on to every promise you have made/Jesus you are unfailing." "Come Holy Spirit" is intimate and atmospheric though the band could have been pared back more for this one to have greater impact. By the end though 'Frontiers' has too much wall-of-sound for my liking. Probably the most reflective song is the title track with its pleasant harmonies and its prayerful lyrics "take me to the edge of something greater." This is the band's third live album and fourth album overall. If I was suggesting improvement I'd like to see more variety of style, with some quieter tracks for balance.
