Recorded in Nashville with top session musicians but only released in Switzerland speaks volumes for Vernon's problems in his own USA! Vernon is stone country, but it's mainly new country songs here, apart from Harlan Howard's "The Keys In The Mailbox" and Jesse Colter's "Storms Never Last". Only one gospel track, "God Keeps The Wildflowers Blooming" but the album has a nice fresh feel, especially in CD. Vernon's commitment to the Lord means he doesn't sing the country he once did, which I think is a pity as I feel he could reach even more people for the Lord by staying in more mainstream country as there's hardly a better sounding traditional country singer than Vernon Oxford.
