Considering the serious cash Big Idea have amassed from their singing vegetables series and the fact that these are the songs featured in Veggie Tales' first feature film, this is an extraordinarily cheaply made album. What you get are a set of songs (plus split tracks) sung by a kids choir and some session singers over a set of programmed tracks. The songs (like the programming by Christopher Davis) are variable, ranging between the nursery rhyme-like "Stop! And Go With Mercy" to the funky "You Are The One" while the silly "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" is fun. But this is still disappointing. Note to Big Idea, next time do a properly produced, properly budgeted album.
