In this episode Bob the tomato and Larry the cucumber learn that loving your neighbour covers more than just those who live next door to you. The story of Fibber-o-loo retells the parable of the Good Samaritan with some memorable songs and shows that as far as God is concerned, your neighbour is anyone in need. With a brief interlude for a silly song, the now considered a classic "Hairbrush Song", we are on to a sci-fi spoof where Junior Asparagus discovers that loving your neighbour also includes appreciating those who are different rather than making fun of them. The extras include a how to draw Madam Blueberry, a family fun game to develop trust in each other, a karaoke version "I Can Be Your Friend" and a video documentary about how Big Idea started - parents only I think. My kids loved this and are already singing the songs incessantly.

Product Description

Are You My Neighbor? helps children learn how to love others even if they are different to you.

Tale of Two Cities

Big Idea’s critically acclaimed writing and animation bring the story of the Good Samaritan to life in this delightful adaptation of the parable. Through rhyme and song, children learn that loving your neighbour means helping those in need – even if they don’t live next door!

The Gourds Must Be Crazy

Join Junior Asparagus and the crew of the ‘USS Applepies’ as they boldly go where no veggies have gone before! Can Junior and the ship’s engineer (Scooter) repair the Applepies before a giant meteor smashes it to bits? And what about ‘oddball’ crew members Jimmy and Jerry Gourd? Could they possibly help? This sci-fi spoof shows kids that ‘loving your neighbour’ means appreciating those who are different, instead of making fun of them.
