This successful series brings together top names in the gospel scene along with new releases in the last 12 months, all on one DVD. This time around we're offered Kirk Franklin presenting the excellent "The Declaration", Mary Mary singing "Get Up" and the more traditional Clark Sisters with the gospel classic "Pray In The USA". Performances mix both the live and concept videos into a good value 84 minutes. There are however a couple of concerns. The line up on the series tends to focus on the same base of familiar names each year with minor tweaking, making it a tad predictable. Licensing from some of the numerous other gospel companies not covered by the Wow umbrella would improve the quality of the series tremendously. Also, on occasions on my copy, the words and pictures were out of sync; maybe there is a technical reason for this, but it is not acceptable with today's technology! Despite these concerns there are some powerful performances here, the opener "Stand Out"(Tye Tribbert & GA) features a great live performance which will hold your attention and get you involved! The last vid, from Anthony Evans, "Meaningless", was taken from the album 'The Bridge' and speaks volumes on what is important. Overall though, approach with caution. Still, a rather patchy compilation.
