The famous worship company from Mobile, Alabama continues its trawl of the archives with the release of this 12-song compilation. We could have done with more tracks (in the mainstream Ace Records often cram 20 or more songs onto their re-issues) and proper discographic info and liner notes are also notable by their absence. But if you've worn out your cassettes of 1982's 'Glory To The King' or 1985's 'Glorify Thy Name' and long to relive again the pristine worship simplicity of Lynn DeShazo's "More Precious Than Silver" or the anthemic grandeur of Twila Paris' "He Is Exalted" this compilation will be most welcome. Sometimes the styles jar a little - Ron Kenoly's gospel fuelled "Jesus Is Alive" is a very different animal from the lilting pop of Lenny Le Blanc and Kelly Willard's "There Is None Like You" while the later recordings demonstrate Hosanna's gradual slip into over orchestrated predictability. But for ageing churchgoers wanting some sanctified nostalgia this will do nicely.
