This is the soundtrack album of the film The Sparrows Nesting and offers listeners a head-spinning variety of styles. The listener is treated to the country sounds of the Bellamy Brothers with "After The Storm" (which passes more than just a little resemblance to their song "Let Your Love Flow"), then there's a rock contribution from Peter Beckett, there's some R&B from The McClain Sisters, then we get some gospel from Keaton Simons and Soul Tempo. The menagerie closes with an unexpected contribution from those veteran soul harmonisers from yesteryear, The Manhattans. If one were to be kind it might be said that this is an eclectic collection; if unkind one might describe it as discombobulated. In truth this album comes across as a random song selection which removed from the context of the film makes for an uncomfortable listen.
