Another example of the exploitation of the CCLi worship song "charts" (if you don't already know CCLi are the body who license UK churches enabling them to copy on transparency or songsheets for worship purposes copyright worship songs). Kingsway have already commissioned veteran producer Chris Norton to put together a whole series of albums of the top 500 songs on a recent CCLi list of the most worshipped-to compositions (The 500 Series) but if that's not enough he now takes another stab at some of the material - this time the 'Top 25 UK Worship Songs'. Live worship recordings featuring mainly a female singer with, of course, a sleeve which gives no information whatsoever as to their origin. The songs themselves are good enough ("Shout To The Lord", "Refiner's Fire", "Faithful One", "In Christ Alone", etc, etc) but such a showcase of these gems does no one any favours.
