During the "golden age" of Christian pop/rock albums (which I would say was 2009 ) there were good ones coming out almost every week. This eight-track sampler mini-album showcasing... deep breath... Electrolyte, This Beautiful Republic, Bluetree, David Ostby, Delirious?, Julian Drive (that's a group, not a bloke), Paul Colman and Superchick shows that the US and the UK Christian music industry were by then getting it right. The standout tracks here are very good and though the artists are now a distant memory (with the exception of the solos Ostby and Colman) their music still stands up. Electrolyte, Delirious? (of course) and This Beautiful Republic are all recommended. So if you want to catch up on a bit of Christian music history, or discover what a good song "Tall Stories" by Essex rockers Electrolyte was, 'PE Kit' is worth changing into.
