Five years since their last release and Illect Recordings have brought out their fourth instalment involving an amalgamation of some of the finest rappers around. As artists of faith the narrative throughout explores getting the people's attention in "Crowd React" (Ozay Moore, Braille & Ohmega Watts), being witnesses of Christ in tracks like "I Got The Spirit" (Tee-Wyler, Datin, Jered Sanders, Stefan Otto & Jered Sanders) and responding to "the call" of following that faith in "Know The Call" (Imperial, Sareem Poems & Sojourn). The production is solid on this record. Jazz and hip-hop merge together in "Doin' It" with laid-back trumpet lines underscoring the vocals of Ozay Moore and Joachim. "Sweeter" is a simple but effective track with a gospel edge built by a piano riff and chilled beat that give all the attention to Armond Wakeup and J. Rodan's lyrics. After a highly engaging first half the album naturally plateaus for several songs in the middle due to its length, but later picks itself back up again with songs like "Fresh" and "Doin It". With such a plethora of artists there are bound to be new artists to discover on this compilation for lovers of all things rap.
