The sticker on the front of this CD proclaims it to be "The Perfect Gift For Baptism, Confirmation, etc" and it contains 15 songs of commitment from some of today's best-known worship songsters. Several of them are performed by the songwriters themselves (Paul Baloche's "Open The Eyes Of My Heart" and "All The Earth Will Sing Your Praises", Brian Doerksen's "Today" and "You Shine", Michael W Smith's "Healing Rain"), but there are also versions of "Heart Of Worship" by Erin O'Donnell and "Here I Am To Worship" by Eoghan Heaslip. I doubt very much whether any of these songs will be new to most purchasers of contemporary worship CDs, and many of them will have been used widely in worship in churches. If you like your albums of worship songs thematically arranged, then a set of songs like this will please you - or you may, indeed, want to give it to a newly committed believer. Otherwise, it's much of the same kind of stuff you can find in the music section of any Christian bookshop.
