Well, there’s certainly plenty of “greats” on offer here – though only two of them, BeBe and CeCe Winans, are renowned for their duetting prowess. But any album which offers such potentially mouth watering couplings as Doug Williams & Yolanda Adams, Rodney Posey & Twinkie Clark and Darryl Coley & Vanessa Bell Armstrong has got to be worth a listen, hasn’t it? Unfortunately most, if not all, of these tracks were excavated from previous projects and though there’s some seriously soulful emoting going on, not all the songs are grade A while occasionally some of the big names resort to vocal histrionics. But it’s still intriguing to hear Disney’s popular vocalist Peabo Bryson singing with the Tri-City Singers or the awesome Twinkie Clark (still one of my all time favourite divas) giving it up before an excited congregation.
