What it says on the back of the CD case - "A collection of Christmas classics celebrating the birth of Christ." What it should say on the back of the CD case is "A random collection of seasonal songs, taken from albums made by artists who happen to be Christians, which mostly manages to avoid any reference whatsoever to the birth of Christ." Imagine what happens when you take hugely talented artists like Steven Curtis Chapman, Amy Grant, Toby Mac and Rebecca St James and get them to sing holiday favourites such as "White Christmas", "Winter Wonderland" and "Feliz Navidad". Marvel as Michael Tait tries to be Nat King Cole ("Chestnuts Roasting") and gasp (or wince) as one of the great soul singers Aaron Neville warbles through "White Christmas". To cap it all, there's hardly an original musical arrangement in earshot. Tired, predictable and to be avoided. Get the outstanding Christmas releases by Third Day, Casting Crowns, Sara Groves or Paul Poulton instead.
