(www.24-7prayer.com) Many youth prayer gatherings have included some forms of dance music to help inspire and energise. Now there is a whole album dedicated to this cause, but I wouldn't say this is its exclusive use. Many tracks would go down well in a more usual nightclub setting too. Faith Massive, Doug Ross and Lee Jackson are among the usual suspects found on this compilation, but some of the unknown contributors also shine, such as the blasting opener from Dallas Holloway and the trippy "Streets Of Jerusalem" by Weather Inside. Generally speaking the album does help to provide the trademark 24-7 'C'MON' prayer factor, to get the dancers praying and the prayers dancing. But unfortunately a few of the vocal and instrumental samples could be considered too repetitive or vague (such as the lyrics of "I Ain't Missing") to be anything but distracting. Anyway this is a great tool for prayer warrior DJs..or should that be PJs (Prayer Jockeys)?!
