'Passionate Worship, Exuberant Praise' is the sub-title of this series of albums, of which this is the second, containing 31 tracks selected from the top 100 worship songs and written or made popular by well-known Christian artists. Andy Green (vocalist, keyboard player and co-compiler of this album) has produced other cover albums ('Hits Of Abba', 'Piano Worship' and, currently, 'Joy To The World' with fellow vocalist Wendy Green). This is an ideal singalong double album with upbeat renditions of "How Great Thou Art" and "Crown Him With Many Crowns" prompting me and my fellow passengers to burst into song whilst driving through leafy Cheshire and Shropshire. "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)", opens CD one powerfully. "Forever (We Sing Hallelujah)" and "We Believe (In This Time)" are highlight tracks on CD two, with the latter following the same script as "The Creed (This I Believe)", but with much more verve and passion. "Hosanna (Praise Is Rising)" CD two's second track, only really gets going when harmony kicks in with the introduction of a supporting voice. Harmony is used to great effect on several tracks. Whilst not always reproducing the quality of the originals, this is a highly professional and listenable follow-up to volume one.
