Brothers Walter, Eddie and Renatto Aguas are the men of Two Or More and their rich, tight harmonies, no doubt formed by years of singing around the washing up, is the hallmark of this polished CCM pop album. Produced by another set of brothers, the Elefantes, you know the quality is going to be good. Strong on melody and harmony and song selection, there are some good moments here. "Walking On The Water" lyrically struck a strong chord with my own spiritual journey and immediately became a favourite; the rockier feel of "Know That I Love You" grabbed me and there's an interesting cover version of Extreme's "Holehearted". Elsewhere the boys draw on the songwriting talents of the veteran Bill Batstone who contributes five of the songs here. This is a good album with faultless production but I'm left feeling that it's a little too generic with little to lift it above the crowd of other CCM artists ploughing the same musical furrow. Often it reminds me of Jon Elefante's solo work, a touch of Greg Long here and there and even a bit of the lighter side of Petra. All recently produced by the Elefantes. With such strong echoes, its hard for this album to establish itself and fully grab my attention. Perhaps Two Or More need to work harder at establishing their own musical identity, they certainly have talent, this is a very good album but there are hundreds of very good albums out there!!

Two Or More sang this live, last Sunday morning, guiding
Pastor Chuck Smith's congregation into holy, reverent
preparation for his important teaching. 2OMs giftedness is a
given, but years' honing validate their maturity. (Recall
Tuck & Patty startling studios with entire albums recorded
in 'one take'?) Two Or More sing this every time with the
prayed-up experience-sure Kenaniah leadership needed for
today's revival--at BGEA platforms as at tent
podiums--excellent unplugged or hot with midi/effects.
