31-year-old Croatian guitarist Tony Simic is resident in Australia and this five-track CD highlights his excellent melodic, acoustic guitar playing. Tony may run a small lawn mowing business but these five tracks prove that it's when he's playing guitar he really cuts it. (Now that I'd like to see. Ed) Melodic, exquisite solo instrumental pieces like the title track and "Just Like That" are mixed with "Still Left Wanting" where he dons electric guitar and is supported by Damien Kook on bass. The central track here is "Mother's Dance" with its acoustic guitar prelude finally breaking into a masterful complete band performance with excellent support from sax player Julius Hofstetter on this jazz tinged number. Good stuff!
