A six-track independent EP from Tony Brooks who writes atmospheric guitar-based worship tunes. He's managed to create an overall sound that may owe a little to the Soul Survivor/Delirious? camp but still has quite a bit to grab you. "Mercy" is an intense call for repentance building nicely. "Tonight" is gentle acoustic whereas "Everlasting" is all electric guitars and interesting drums and loops. "Strength" is a straight forward psalmlike strum and sing, nicely stripped down. However, on some of the mellower stuff, it becomes apparent that there are some weaknesses in Tony's vocals which is a shame as he is clearly a gifted songwriter. The title track is vibey and my overall favourite from the whole EP has to be "King" with plenty of guitars and a catchy chorus. Overall, this is a good introduction to Tony's stuff and with a little work on the voice, the next one should be the business!
