Tobe has to be the Cross Rhythms favourite Nigerian rapper and if he was back in his homeland he'd be a superstar. This single is a witty yet very hard hitting critique of the vegetative state so many of his peers in America have allowed themselves to drift into. As the chorus goes, "It's time to elevate/If they hatin', baby, let 'em hate/You can see me shining in the shade/We done come up on some better days." A brilliant rap and an equally skilled video with clever dance moves (though a particularly large lady proclaims on a cardboard sign "I can't dance like that").
