This Brighton three-piece benefit from having recorded their debut CD at the ICC Studios in Eastbourne. Birthed from a powerful time of worship together in April 2007 it doesn't stray far from the usual contemporary worship template. Opening song "You Are Lord Of All", if a little long, has a nice middle-eight asking Jesus to captivate our gaze. This is a well chosen, upbeat and spiritually focussing opener. Most of the lyrics are instantly recognisable from other worship songs yet it would be wrong to criticise that aspect outright. Rather than showing a lack of originality it is proof that we are all humbled by the love of Christ and come to praise God in simplicity, and as believers often ask similar questions. The length of the songs highlights the worshipful spirit, meandering in praise and intimacy almost as a live recording, positively reminding me of Vineyard records of the '90s The pre-chorus of the title track builds anticipation with a lush, rushing melody, yet the chorus refrain disappoints. Yet though the chorus melodies of this album could be more imaginative in places, this is still an intimate, worshipful recording.
