This three-song EP is the debut from is the debut from a York-based band and highly impressive it is too. Effortlessly straddling both the rock and hard genres, they have cleverly merged jagged guitar riffs and explosive drum patterns with hooky songs while the balance between clean vocalist Malc Clark and screamer Ben Brady is carried out with aplomb. Thumbs up too for drummer Andy Barthow whose playing on "Captivated" is top notch. It's not often that a track from the hard music range has the melodic potential to sound good on pop radio but on "Captivated" I think these guys have pulled it off.
