Theo was born in Brighton, to Ghanaian parents but grew up in Zambia and Ghana before returning to the UK in 1987. In 1994 Theo released a single "Shoulder To Shoulder" but this is her first album. Stylistically, it ranges from gentle lovers rock style reggae to a more hybrid Afro-pop sound, as on "I Will Praise You Heavenly Father". Theo writes songs of straight ahead devotion and praise and sings them adequately. Unfortunately, production and programming is pretty lacklustre and this is unlikely to be a widely heard release.
