Following on from their acclaimed 2013 debut album, American-born and Hong Kong-based husband and wife duo Jeff and Leora Caylor have released a three-song EP that sees the pair continue to develop their own inventive brand of electro pop. The Caylors have chosen to avoid any direct references to their Christian faith on this release with the title track dealing with being blissfully in love whilst the delightfully '80s-tinged electronica of "Boom (After All She Said)" tells of an out of kilter relationship and a desire to get back to basics. Leora and Jeff share the vocal duties and offer up assured performances that perfectly complement an expertly produced musical backdrop that surprises and delights at every turn - the result being an end product that is most definitely up there with today's more innovative chart fare. The deviant song of perseverance "Mixed Up Shot Down" - featuring a stellar half sung, half rapped performance from Leora - rounds off another fine piece of work from this talented couple.
