The Village Singers borrow heavily from the Chuck Wagon Gang of a generation ago. Sonny Osborne has excelled himself by providing very complimentary backdrops. The opener is the Rambos' 'When I Lift Up My Head' which has Country Standard potential and if it hasn't hit already, should do. I particularly enjoyed the well known story set to 'On My Fathers Side.' Not to be missed, I thoroughly enjoyed this gem! It is brimful of the best of what I always believed country gospel music to be. The engaging four-part harmony of the talented, mixed quartet of an everyday, common folk is respondent in traditional country style a la dobro, steel and fiddle and such. It i great but unusual to have females taking the leads.

I have been looking for the music for "On My Father's Side"; I just heard your version - how can I get the music for this. What a message!
