Britain's Mohabir Sisters have sung together since a very young age, and this family talent has opened the door for performances in many countries. For many this CD will be the first encounter with the group and there could be no better. Started in 2005, the project is dedicated to their late father. If you're looking for gospel music with echoes of the old time groups like the Caravans and the Barrett Sisters and with few concessions to the new wave of R&B gospel sistahs, this charming CD will appeal. It showcases a rich treasure chest of vocal harmonies from the upbeat ("Feel The Power"), more worshipful gospel ("Sacrificial Lamb") and through to a bit of calypso ("Hosanna"). This is also a very personal recording as shortly before the release group member Anne died after singing on "Shine On Me". The CD also contains four poems dedicated to individuals. It is hard to imagine a better introduction to such a talented family. Sales of the CD will raise money for one of the many projects started by Rev Mohabir.
