STYLE: Rock RATING OUR PRODUCT CODE: 12-4141 LABEL: Independent FORMAT: CD Album

The Matt Hill Band are a bunch of teenagers from York who have loads of talent, gear and help. This is their debut album, but you would be hard pushed to tell just by listening. They have a distinctly rock sound with more than a hint of Carlos Santana. The songwriting is strong and it is clear both through the lyrics and sleevenotes that these guys want God to be known and worshipped though their music. The real problem is that there is just a bit too much of the twiddly guitar bits, which makes it feel dated, and the vocals are a little
weak for the style. All in all, though, a good debut.
