If the title wasn't enough to put you off, the music soon will. Hastily recorded by a Florida-based band that just weren't ready to go into any studio yet, let alone record nine songs (there are 10 tracks, but "In Time" is just so bad, I don't want to call it a song). These should be demos, kept for posterity. The Guests have obviously not done enough research to find out what it takes to make a good impression. Let's try really hard for a moment and concentrate on some plus points. Point one goes to some fairly good drumming by 'Darrel'. Point two goes to some quite good song ideas, "H.S.P" is about High School Pressure, or popularity or something, but the lyrics are quite entertaining. "A New Beginning" also features some fairly good ideas. Point three goes just for effort. Heaven knows that it takes some guts to send in an album to get reviewed. It's painful when you get less than what you think you could get, but this is just that bad! The guitar work of 'Carsen' maims the songs all the way through the album, especially on "In Time", where the never-ending solo clashes time after time with the wayward vocal shortcomings of 'Cory'. Truly dreadful. In the letter that came with the CD, The Guests explained that they knew it wasn't "what they'd hoped for, but it's the message that matters the most, as I'm sure you'll agree." 'Someday's Stories' shouldn't have been put out to Joe Public.
