Paul A Gardiner is a well-known figure in the Christian music scene in Northern Ireland responsible for producing literally dozens of albums. They might not be up there with the best Nashville recorded output but a Gardiner production never fails to demonstrate Paul's judgment, with strong vocals and well played accompaniments. This album recorded with his wife Sharon and four children is good when his wife is singing lead with good Southern gospel style harmonies helping her. It only flounders when one of his youngest sings "Jesus Loves Me" - a musical effort which should have been left for family listening only. But no matter, if you're after an album largely of country gospel, Southern gospel and worship covers with plenty of impressive harmonies, you could do worse than investigating 'Resting Place'.
