A solid album of danceable tracks - some retro nuances here too, with some big fat synths. There's enough melody and good song writing to keep a rocker like me happy. Tracks like "The Story Of Our Lives" would no doubt be welcome on most dancefloors, while there are more pop moments, like "Seaside" which is flavoured with guitar and features a vocal sound that means it could just about be a Snow Patrol track! If you enjoyed The Green's earlier albums on Myx, Sara Bellum, Red Hill and Different Drum you'll know Joey Belville is an engaging singer and a clever programmer who has an ear for a good hook. Newer fans might want to investigate too.
