The reunited Southern gospel group The Crabb family (they separated in 2007) present their first album since 'Letting Go', following a celebration tour last year. During the time they were together they won 11 Dove awards and had numerous nominations. The opener "Back To The Front Porch" shows the original ingredients are still there, smoothly blending voices with family homespun lyrics touching the heart with their repeated expressions of yearning for their home. "You Can't Do That Anymore" is a cry to times which appear to have left us while "This Is You And Me" is a testimony to church fellowship with its Shania Twain-style country beat. There are gentler moments as well, such as on "If There Ever Was A Time" and "Come Home", both featuring superb country vocals. I especially enjoyed "Life Meets Grace" which is best described as a crossover track leaning towards pop, which could appeal to a wider audience than just country gospel followers. All in all, this is a welcome return from a supremely talented family.

Product Description

Together Again is an all-new studio recording from the multiple award-winning Crabb Family. Produced by lead singer and Grammy Award-winning solo artist Jason Crabb, Together Again offers fans new music recorded with a unique vocal approach.

“In the past, when it came time to select songs for a project, part of the process was our deciding who would be featured on what song,” describes Jason. “Basically, we all had ‘our individual songs’ that we took the lead on. With Together Again, the songs aren’t centred around ‘who is singing lead.’ Our vocals are intermingled as never before.”

Siblings Jason, Adam, Aaron, Kelly and Terah, known as The Crabb Family, took the Christian music industry by storm in the 90s with their signature brand of country-tinged Gospel, live stage band and powerhouse musical arrangements, blurring the lines between Christian music genres with recordings and accolades ranging from bluegrass to black Gospel.

Together Again includes three songs written by the award-winning country writer Neil Thrasher in addition to tunes written by such industry pacesetters as their father, Gerald Crabb; Sue C. Smith; Lee Black; David Moffitt; Gina Boe; Don Poythress; Ronnie Freeman; Stephanie Lewis and Caleb Collins.
